ABOUT

His Majesty's Treasury (HMT) is the United Kingdom's finance ministry, and it's charged with managing all internal finances. The HMT encompasses a wide range of duties, such as: overseeing the organisation's Habbo credits, setting budget allocations, administering duty quota conversions and incentive payments, handling reimbursements, and recording asset acquisitions. We carry out most of our day-to-day operations through meticulous administrative work, translating vast sheets into concise and insightful reports to enhance financial accountability to the public. We also maintain the United Kingdom’s official asset registry, consisting of all Habbo rooms, groups and furniture under formal UK asset jurisdiction.

In addition to our custodial role, the HMT is also responsible for formulating fiscal policy and advising the Royal Family and the Cabinet Office on ways to grow the Treasury through economic measures and fundraising. The Chancellor of the Exchequer is typically involved in all decision-making pertaining to Duty Quotas, the official UK currency. For example, the Chancellor is the only person other than His Majesty, The King and the Prime Minister who is empowered to make adjustments to the conversion rate (which is the standard used for converting Duty Quota points to Habbo credits). Currently, it's 2 points = 1 credit.

Due to our many responsibilities, His Majesty's Treasury is one of the most domestically active government entities in the United Kingdom. We work every day to maintain the financial well-being of the community and secure its fiscal future!
